Yen Press publishes the novels in English and describes the story:
The Lost Ones are vagabonds who come here from a far away world known as “Japan”. No one knows how or why they leave their home. The only thing that is certain is that they bring disaster and calamity. The duty to exterminate them without remorse falls on Menou, a young executioner. When she meets Akari, it feels like another job … until she finds out it’s impossible to kill this girl! And when Menou begins to search for a way to overcome this immortality, Akari is more than happy to accompany him! So begins a journey that will change Menou forever … As well as being an intriguing addition to the ever popular genre of isekai light novels, Virgin road is an intriguing outing due to the fact that it includes elements not commonly seen in light novels published in English – a female protagonist and a yuri script.
The main actors are :
Moe Kahara like Akari, the Lost. She is affectionate and easy going. Menou is unable to kill her because of her ability even though she is not aware of it herself. She begins her journey with Menou, without knowing her true intentions. (Kahara has been credited with her old name in the entertainment industry, Moeka Kishimoto, but changed its name in July.)
Yoshiki Kawasaki (Ancestry of a bookworm assistant director) directs the anime at JC Staff, and Shogo Yasukawa (Food wars! Shokugeki no Soma, Hyperdimension Neptunia) supervises the scripts of the series. Keiko tamaki (Cells at work! sub-character designs) designs the characters for animation. Jin aketagawa directs the sound, and MICHIRU (Ancestry of a bookworm, Given) composes the music. UF CLOSED and SB Creative produce.
SB Creative published the first volume of the novels in July 2019, and the sixth volume dispatched on August 15. The novels won the grand prize at GA Bunko Awards in 2018. Ryu mitsuya spear a manga adaptation of the novels in Square Enix‘s Young Gangan reviewed in June 2020.
